8x10 glass negative photographed by James Burton August 10, ca. 1907. Image of AURORA undersail. AURORA, sail #K29, was a flush deck 85' K Class composite built cutter designed by Nathanael G. Herreshoff and built by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company of Bristol, Rhode Island in 1907. Neg. sleeve listed this image as AVENGER, but sloop positively identified as AURORA, K #29. Handwritten neg. sleeve: "1-B / Avenger[sic] / Aug 10". Handwritten on neg. margin: "B1 / 3042".
