4 x 5 Kodak safety negative taken by Rosenfeld and Sons at the New York Yacht Club Cruise in 1947. Stern view of the vessels COURANTE (sloop), DJINN (cutter), and GYPSY (sloop), reaching with spinnakers set. DJINN was originally named ACTAEA, and is a 61' cutter, designed by Sparkman & Stephens, and built by Nevins Yard in 1938. GYPSY is a Frank Paine design and was built by Lawley & Sons in 1939. COURANTE is another Sparkman and Stephens design, originally named ORIENT, and built in Hong Kong, 1938. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Courante-DJinn-Gypsy". Typed on sleeve: "NYYC CRUISE 1946".
