8x10 glass negative photographed by Charles Edwin Bolles in 1903. Image of SHAMROCK III hauled out in drydock showing a starboard quarter view. Many visitors watching from the drydock edge and several crewmen working on board. SHAMROCK III was a 134'5" cutter, the British challenger for the 1903 America's Cup, built by William Denny & Brother of Dumbarton, Scotland from designs by William Fife and George Watson in 1903. This boat hull was painted white while all the other SHAMROCK hulls were green. Neg. sleeve info. handwritten: "580 / Shamrock III' and handwritten on the negative itself in the margin area: "Shamrock / 2006 / 580".
