35mm black and white film photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons at the time of the America's Cup Final Selection Trials held August 15th to the 24th, 1967. Partial view of INTREPID, #US22, in the foreground hauled out on a cradle, starboard side aft with keel showing, with either COLUMBIA, #US16, or CONSTELLATION, #US20, behind at the Newport Shipyard, Rhode Island. INTREPID, US #22, 12 meter, was designed by Olin Stephens and built by Minneford Yacht Yard of City Island, New York. Designer Olin Stephens, plus a new design added by Dick Carter of Boston added on a flap on the trailing edge of a shortened keel for stability. Stamped neg. sleeve envelope: "184276 / TRIALS 1967".
