Hoag's 18' utility outboard motorboat TRANSCONTINENTAL, completing an astonishing 5,680 mile voyage from river to stream to lake to canal - across the country from Astoria, Oregon arriving in New York City. Visible in image: port quarter view of outboard motor boat underway with two outboard motors on stern, John E. Hoag, Frank Wilton and "Spy" the dog in their boat, American Flag with 48 stars mounted at front of cockpit, man in back waving at camera, boats at moorings and land in background.
