6 x 8 glass plate negative taken by Morris Rosenfeld in September of 1911. Starboard quarter view of the launch VIVA underway with spectator vessels in the distant background. Driver, Captain S. B. Pearce is seen standing behind the wheel. Vessel is seen here at the British International Races (Harmsworth), in Huntington Bay, NY. Written on original negative sleeve: "International M.B. Race / Viva" and stamped: "PLATE NO." and written: "317 [crossed out] #308 / Box 27". Viva was a 32' runabout built in 1911 by Emerson Engine Co. She was owned by J. Stuart Blackton.
