4X5 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons on 8-4-1942. Image is of PT 117 photographed from the starboard beam while underway during sea trials. PT 117 was one of the PT 103 series of the longer 80' Elco PT boats bound for service in the South Pacific. It was one of only a few PT boats destroyed by Japanese aircraft in the war.
