VALKYRIE II was a British America's Cup challenger in 1893. She was designed by George L. Watson and made by D. & W. Henderson & Co. in Glasgow, Scotland 1893. She was beaten in 3 straight races by VIGILANT, and sunk in 1894 in the River Clyde by the British racer SATANITA. Handwritten on back: "Valkyrie III [x'd out] II" Stamped in blue in lower right corner: "MORRIS ROSENFELD & SONS / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATORS / 116 NASSAU STREET, N.Y. 10038 / Phone 233-4970".
