This vessel was a YMS-1 Class Auxiliary Motor Mine Sweeper: Laid down, 1941 by the Wheeler Shipbuilding Corp., Whitestone, Long Island, NY; Launched, 14 July 1942; Commissioned USS YMS-52, (date unknown); Fate unknown. Her specifications: Displacement 320 t.; Length 136'; Beam 24' 6"; Draft 6' 1"; Speed 13 kts; Complement 33; Armament one single 3"/50 gun mount, two 20mm, two dct, two dcp; Propulsion two General Motors diesel engines, two shafts, 500 hp.
