Partial mage of STOUTON, #N25, a Norwegian competitor and ARIES, #US25, of America racing, starboard beam view with ARIES leading on the right and STOUTON moving up from behind on the left. To the left in the background are #US53, CHAHALA, #US30, WEB II and #US6, SABRE. All of these vessels racing were 5.5 Meter Class 35' sloops. 5.5 Metre Class vessels racing internationally were required to conform to the Universal Rules for 5.5 Meters.
