Vessel seen slightly off-center to the right of the image, on a starboard tack. The deck is partially visible. SHAMROCK V was a British challenger for the 1930 America's Cup. She was designed by Charles W. Nicholson, and built by Camper & Nicholson in 1930. Stamped on back in blue rectangle: "MORRIS ROSENFELD & SONS / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATORS / 163 WEST 23rd. ST., N.Y. 10011 / Phone: 980-2404". NOTE: During the 1930 America's Cup (15th), the great boats of the J-Class series debut with masts as tall as 165 ft. and over 80 ft. in length. Shamrock V (England) was beat by Enterprise (US).
