BEATRICE was a 38'6" screw gas launch designed and built by A.& S. Smith of Amityville on Long Island in 1915. Her owner in 1917 was Edwin C. Vom Hofe. Her original name was VAGABOND. Handwritten note on neg. sleeve: "Beatrice" / M.B. / Interior / Box 510". "M.B." is the abbreviation for motor boat.
