Image of 126' Paine, Belknap & Skene designed, George Lawley & Son Corp. built J Class sloop YANKEE (built 1930 in Neponset, Mass.) and 118' Burgess & Morgan designed, George Lawley & Son Corp. built cutter VANITIE (built 1914 in S. Boston, Mass.) on New York Yacht Club Cruise. Visible in image: starboard bow views of VANITIE (I/3) with marconi-rigged mainsail, staysail, and spinnaker set with crew aft and YANKEE (J/2) with marconi-rigged mainsail and spinnaker raised with crew midships and aft, both running before the wind, pennants on mainmasts of both vessels.
