GOLDEN FLEECE was built originally as a 125' auxiliary screw schooner but was rerigged by 1891 as an auxiliary barkentine. She was built and designed in 1880 by J.S. White of East Cowes, Isle of Wight, England. Negative sleeve info.: "Golden Fleece / Y123 / Box 13". Handwritten on emulsion side margin of negative: "Golden Fleece / Oct 11 '92 / "Golden Fleece" ".
