Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Cup presented to J. P. Morgan by NYYC". Note: May refer to J. P. Morgan, Jr. (1867-1943) although J. P. Morgan, Sr. (1837-1913) was quite a yachtsman too. This is suspected to refer to Morgan Sr.
