Image is an overview of the hydroplane MISS AMERICA at rest in between heats of the Gold Cup Races during the Detroit Yacht Club Regatta. Clear view of vessel's engines, Gar Wood, the driver standing in the center of the vessel and the mechanic is seated aft bending over an engine. MISS AMERICA was designed and built by Gar Wood and the C.C. Smith Boat and Engine Company of Algonac, Michigan in 1919. Typed on neg. sleeve: 7017-F".
