A crane on the pier has maneuvered the mast into place. Multiple spectator rowboats are visible, and many people are on the deck of RANGER and on the pier. Stamped on original negative sleeve: "79981F MAY 11 1937 / [Box] 4331" and typed: "Stepping mast on Ranger" and written: "S/S [Sparkman & Stephens - indicating that the image may have been sent to Sparkman & Stephens]".
