8x6 glass negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons, June 1925. Image of Chinese junk AMOY, underway, starboard quarter view, all three sails set. Three men amidships and man seated at the stern. AMOY was a 68' 3-masted Chinese Amoy fishing junk design built in Shanghai, China and owned by Captain George Waard in 1922. She was later sold to Leroy Lewis of Stratford, Connecticut in 1925. Lewis and crew went on a 3 year round-the-world crew. Stamped/typed on original negative sleeve: "15029F / 6/7/25 / Chinese Junk AMOY". CREDIT LINE: Mystic Seaport, Rosenfeld Collection.
