ANKLE DEEP TOO was built and designed by Chase, Tams, Lemoine & Crane in 1915. She hit a rock two weeks before the Gold Cup race 1915 and still had problems during the trials. Mankowski was a Polish count who married an American woman from New York. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Aug 1915 / Gold Cup Races / Box 16 / Count Mankowski".
