In the distant background are other sailing vessels. STORM, sail #330, was a 39' auxiliary sloop built and designed in 1955 by the Luders Marine Construction Company of Stamford, Conn. for Alfred E."Bill" Luders, Jr. Bill Luders won the Vineyard Race twice, in 1959 and 1961, using a temporary controversial ketch rig with a mainsail called a "bikini".
