6x8 glass negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons on Long Island Sound ca. 1916. View of the schooners ELENA, #B2, and IROLITA, #B1, undersail. Long port beam view of ELENA undersail to the left and in the foreground a bow on view of IROLITA on the right. Both vessels were designed and built by Herreshoff Mfg. of Bristol, Rhode Island, ELENA (136'6") in 1911 and IROLITA (90') in 1906. There are several other unidentified schooners and a sloop in the distant background. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Cover / Schooner's / 1118 / [Box] 89".
