Image of cruiser DETROIT and screw steamer EILEEN sometime prior to DETROIT's Atlantic crossing from Vineyard Haven to Queenstown, arriving August 7, 1912. Starboard bow view of DETROIT with six people visible on deck and EILEEN at her starboard quarter. DETROIT is towing a small watercraft. Two motorboats, one towing a small watercraft, are ahead and to port of DETROIT. An island with a structure and a treed shoreline are visible in the background. Written on original negative sleeve: "#352 / Box 30 / M. B. Detroit / leaving for Europe" and stamped: "PLATE NO." and written: "378 [crossed out] / Box 31 [crossed out]".
