Image shows a port beam view of the screw launch APACHE, temporary racing #17, underway with three people visible. A rowboat being rowed in the opposite direction is astern of APACHE. Dwellings are visible on a rocky shoreline in the background. Written on the emulsion side of the negative: "Apache II". Written on the original negative sleeve: "New Rochelle Y.C. Motor Boat races 1912 / M. B. / Apache / Plate 553 Box 44 [both partially obscured]". NOTE: APACHE II is visible on the vessel and on the life buoy, but the listing in Lloyds is for APACHE.
