Aluminum menhaden hose cage; used by Omega Protein in Hammond, LA; used at the end of vacuum hose to suck small menhaden out of a net without taking in larger, unwanted fish. Cylindrical base with one bolt (opposite bolt missing) 10-1/4" diameter x 19" long; welded to larger, squared-off cylinder, 15" diameter x 16" long, the top of which has large hinged valve. Top is cage of open-weave bulb made of 1" diameter tubing, which is 22" high x 21" wide.
