5 x 7 glass plate negative taken by Rosenfeld and Sons on July 23rd, circa 1916, in Englewood, New Jersey at the Englewood Golf Club. View of a woman identified as Mrs. Margaret Gavin seen swinging a golf club. Mrs. Gavin is pictured in a white full length skirt and top, with matching white gloves, shoes and hat. Building with wood shingles and large wrap around porch in background. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "7/23 / Golf at Englewood / Mrs. Gavin / Box 305". No original negative number. Margaret Gavin of England won the Eastern Women's Amateur golf event in 1916. In 1922, she lost the final round of the U.S. Women's Amateur to Glenna Collett.
