The trophy is seen indoors, set on a table. In the background a map mounted on a wall, a ships bell above the map, and two compasses hanging on the wall over each corner of the map. The trophy is a large silver tall base with three eagles holding a sphere at the tips of their wings, on which rests a silver sloop. Engraved on trophy: "Seagram / PERPETUAL TROPHY / FOR / CORNFIELD LIGHT RACE / OF / CITY ISLAND YACHT CLUB".
