8 x 10 gelatin silver print taken by James Burton on August 7 of an unidentified year previous to 1909. Image printed by Rosenfeld and Sons, date unknown. Port bow view of the steam yacht NORTH STAR underway. NORTH STAR was designed by W. C. Storey, and built by Naval Construction & Arm., Ltd. 1893. She was built as VENETIA, and later renamed, SYBARITE, and CHEROKEE. She was owned by Cornelius Vanderbilt from 1903-1914 under the name NORTH STAR. James Burton sold his collection to Morris Rosenfeld circa 1910, dating this image between 1903 and 1910. Handwritten on back: "North Star". Stamped in blue rectangular box: "MORRIS ROSENFELD AND SONS / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATORS / 163 WEST 23rd ST., N.Y. 10011 / Phone: 989-2404".
