Interior view of the dining room aboard the steam yacht NORTH STAR. NORTH STAR was designed by W. C. Storey, and built by Naval Construction & Arm., Ltd. 1893. She was built as VENETIA, and later renamed, SYBARITE, and CHEROKEE. She was owned by Cornelius Vanderbilt from 1903-1914 under the name NORTH STAR. James Burton sold his collection to Morris Rosenfeld in 1910, dating this image between 1903 and 1909. Stamped on back in purple: "MORRIS ROSENFELD & SONS / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATORS / 163 WEST 23rd St., N.Y., N.Y. 10011 / PHONE: (212) 989-2404". Original negative number B.1984.187.558. Handwritten on back in black pen: "NORTH STAR - C. VANDERBILT".
