8 x 10 gelatin silver print taken by James Burton on Long Island Sound, 1903. Printed by Rosenfeld and Sons, date unknown. Port quarter view of the cutter SHAMROCK III under sail. SHAMROCK III was a British challenger in the 1903 America's Cup. She was painted white, while all the other SHAMROCK's were painted green. She was designed by William Fife Jr., and George Watson, and built by William Denny & Bro. in Dumbarton on Leven, Scotland 1903. She was owned by Sir Thomas Lipton. Handwritten on back: "Shamrock III - 1903". Stamped on back in blue rectangular box: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATOR / 116 NASSAU STREET, N.Y. / Phone BEekman 3-4970".
