3 3/4 x 2 1/2 inch black and white negative, taken by Stanley Z. Rosenfeld at the America's Cup trial races in 1970. Port beam view of the 12 meter sloop VALIANT under sail. Sail numbers read "US 24". VALIANT was a US America's Cup 1970 potential defender. She was rebuilt for the 1974 America's Cup trials and used as a "tune-up" boat. She is a Sparkman and Stephens design, and was built by Derecktor in 1970. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "VALIANT 12/24".
