Bow view of RELIANCE seen wing and wing, displaying her 16,160 square feet of sail, during the America's Cup races. RELIANCE successfully defended against SHAMROCK III, owned by Sir. Thomas Lipton, who's steam yacht ERIN can be seen in the background of this negative. The original negative is a horizontal format and is published in A CENTURY UNDER SAIL in vertical format.
