Cabinet photograph, albumen print mounted on white card; studio portrait of Inuit Ou-se-gong (also known as Jeannie), wearing native clothes, standing by chair, polar bear skin on chair; handwritten on back "Oo-see-eong"; she and her husband Kud-lup-pa-mune were brought to New London in 1866 by Sidney Buddington aboard the schooner FRANKLIN; she died on their return voyage to the Arctic in 1867.
