8 x 10 Kodak safety negative, taken by Rosenfeld and Sons on March 10, 1926. Interior view of the Hickman Sea Sled Company, plant at West Mystic, CT. Close up view of the construction process, recent worker appears to have been hammering wooden plugs into holes left by fastenings. This area of the shop appears small, just enough space for three hulls, and has minimal tools visible. Work station includes, a hammer, wooden plugs, and sandpaper. Incomplete hull rests on wood blocks, electrical power outlets visible, as well as a fire extinguisher in the background, and two workers coats hang on the far right of the image. Image 1984.187.24676 shows this view from further back in the shop, showing that the shop was actually quite large. Typed on original negative sleeve: "24673 / 3/10/26 / The Sea SledCo / Plant at West Mystic / 1508-13".
