All desks are equipped with personal telephones. Two women are in a cashier booth to the left, gated off from the main office. Distant window reads: "COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT / NEW YORK / TELEPHONE / COMPANY. / CONTRACTS. COLLECTIONS". Same building pictured in negative 1984.187.2938 from exterior. Identified as Brooklyn from Singer advertisement seen in that negative. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "5570 / 3/7/17 / 451--1 / Main Commercial Office / Tel. Co. / Box 451".
