Interior view of the main Commercial Telephone office, Brooklyn, NY, March 7, 1917. View of both men and women seated at desks in a commercial office setting. All desks are equipped with personal telephones. Two women are in a cashier booth to the left, gated off from the main office. Distant window reads: "COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT / NEW YORK / TELEPHONE / COMPANY. / CONTRACTS. COLLECTIONS". Same building pictured in negative 1984.187.2938 from exterior. Identified as Brooklyn from Singer advertisement seen in that negative. Embossed in lower right corner: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / N.Y.".
