Image taken as part of long term commissioned work and documentation for the American Telephone & Telegraph Company, ranging from 1910 through the 1940s. View of women seated on benches in overcoats, appear to be waiting for an interview. A woman at a desk to the right signs one woman's name into a ledger while the other women remain seated. Identified as "Market School" on original negative sleeve. Probably the Telephone Company operator training school. Image taken on October 19, 1916. Women seen in various overcoats, each wearing wide rimmed hat. Stamped on back in rectangular box: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATOR / 116 NASSAU STREET, N.Y. / Phone BEekman 3-4970".
