8 x 10 Kodak safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons on February 11, 1929. View of a classroom full of young students in Millburn, New Jersey. Students seen posed at their desks looking toward the camera. Classroom has one Black female child, and has both male and female students. The students appear to be learning to read, as the window is labeled "WINDOW" and pictures on near the chalkboard are also word labeled. Children also appear to be growing plants in small cups, visible on the window sill and desk in front of the teacher (right). There are about 39 students in this classroom, mostly two per desk.
