8x10 glass negative taken by Rosenfeld and Sons on November 30, 1916 at one of the telephone exchanges for American Telephone and Telegraph. Image of a very large, long switchboard with a long row of many telephone operators seated in front of the board with three supervisors assisting from behind them. Image includes fans, lighting devices, furniture and clothing. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "5772 / [Box] 468-6 / 11/30/16 / Semi Mech[sic] / WE7#2 / A.T.T. Mr. McCarthy / 1 / Box 468".
