Pine box for Brand whaling gun (1999.117.2); interior of case [a] has blocks on either end to hold gun in place; side is carved to accept gun's hammer; 2 metal hinges; case exterior is painted dark green; handwritten on bottom "93579/95"; lid [b] is separated from hinges; top has beveled edges, nail holes to secure to case; nailed to inside is label bearing original whaling gun instructions from manufacturer C.C.Brand; tacked to right of instructions is typewritten note by Allyn M. Brand.
