35 mm color slide photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons on December 9, 1986. Image of the 12 meter sloop EAGLE during the time of the Louis Vuitton Cup race off Fremantle, Australia. Visible in image: cropped starboard bow view of EAGLE on a starboard close reach under mainsail and genoas as the hull is lost under a wall of water as it smashes through waves with only the genoa is visible. EAGLE, #US60, was a 66' sloop, built in 1986 by Williams & Manchester of Newport, Rhode Island from designs by Johan Valentijn to be a potential defender for the America's Cup in 1987.
