8x10 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons on July 25, 1938. This photo was taken at the Jacob Ruppert Brewing Company of Manhattan, New York, to show off the modern equipment that was installed several years before. Image of new radiator-looking filters in the foreground and the gallery that had been above it was removed to allow the steam from the filters to rise. In the gallery in the background are two hot water tanks. The two flat saucer-looking vats on the floor in the background are corn grit scale pressure cookers which was where the grit mash was made and were designed by Turl Engineering Company. All this was part of the Building D Brew House renovation and Building E Brew House Extension project which was designed by the Architect Ely Jacques Khan. The Mechanical Engineer was Claude R. Place and the Structural Engineer was A.D. Crossett. Typed on original negative sleeve: “53699 7/25/38 / 2497-3 / Sutton News Service / 424 Mad Ave, City“.
