Photographic postcard; 3 men on wooden dock holding bunches of bananas (Gardner Manley in center) and man in boat loaded with bananas at right; handwritten in ink at top "On the banks of the Chagres -/ Panama - 12/16/05."; handwrittren in ink on back "To/ My dearest little girl/ Edna -" and in blue ballpoint "Gardner Manley in Panama". No postmark or stamp. Gardner Manley was probably a civil engineer with 7th NY Engineer Regiment on the Panama Canal, and Edna Seibold of Buffalo, NY, was his girl friend.
