Hand written on back: "T’is the fightin’ 68 at / anchor. Note awning on / flying bridge. Tsk! Tsk! / soon it will be giving with / geraniums, maybe." This is also an official Navy circular stamp that reads: "PASSED BY NAVAL CENSOR" with censor's initials. This photo was probably sent to Joan Strauss from her husband Henry Strauss.
