8 x 10 inch emulsion on photographic paper color photograph of a monument in memory of the POLLUX and TRUXTUN disaster in 1942, Saint Lawrence, Newfoundland, circa 1992. This monument was dedicated to all the survivors and dead associated with the sinking of the POLLUX and TRUXTUN in February 1942, including the Newfoundland miners and residents who rescued the sailors. The photo shows two bronze, life sized men, in a stylized portrayal of a rescue.
