Henry Strauss, shirtless with helmet on, is standing in a canoe in a river in Guadalcanal. Another sailor is standing in the stern with a canoe paddle in hand. From Henry Strauss transcript in Sound Archives: "Oh, that’s me. That’s surveying. We were going up a little river on Guadalcanal. And it was after Guadalcanal was relatively safe."
