Photograph; color photograph of the town of Lawn, Newfoundland, 1988; harbor runs through town, small buildings (probably houses) cover small hill on far side of harbor; few houses visible on near side; handwritten on back "LAWN"; from Henry Strauss transcript in Sound Archives: "This is the town of Lawn. The whole town. These men, five or six of them, when they heard there's a possibility of a ship wreck, which turned out to be us. In a howling gale in knee high snow, went 10 miles over the mountains with a little pack horse just of the possibility of a ship wreck with sailors in trouble. If it hadn't been for them, I wouldn't be doing this."
