Photograph; color photograph of the cliffs where the POLLUX (built 1939) was shipwrecked, St. Lawrence, 1988; photograph taken from boat close to the cliffs where the POLLUX was shipwrecked in 1942; from Henry Strauss transcript in Sound Archives: "... you can see the line that the whale boat was trying to take into shore before it crashed in this little crevice. And Lloyd Garrison, the bosun mate, and the couple of others were marooned here until the rescue. And helped pull some people out of the water but unfortunately most of them died from exposure but you can still see the line. I'll be damned. I never saw that before."
