Harding, printed on stamp "UNITED STATES POSTAGE/ HARDING/ 1-1/2 CENTS 1-1/2"; stamp postmarked "U.S.S./ SEP/ 1/ 1936/ P.M./ PHELPS." and "WELCOME/ USS DRAYTON; address typed on front "Phillip Robertson/ 2056 Delaware Ave/ Detroit, Michigan"; handwritten on back "AAE" and ".20". The U.S.S. PHELPS shot down one enemy plane during the attack on Pearl Harbor (see correspondence file).
