5x7 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons on July 7,1928 at the start of the Spanish Ocean Race. Image was taken from the deck of a large vessel showing a long shot of spectators and some of the vessels participating in the race. From left to right: TUKA, a tug-shaped vessel with a rounded bow and stern, twin masts and smokestack in the center. To the right is ELENA, a 1911 schooner, 136'6", #17, built and designed by Herreshoff of Bristol, RI. To her right is the motor yacht SEA LADY, a 58' Herreshoff (1917) designed and built vessel.
