Sheet music, "Blow On! Blow On! The Pirate's Glee"; words by Arthur Morrill, Esq.; composed by Benjamin F. Baker for males voices in 4 parts; dedicated to Salem Glee Club; published Boston by Geo. P. Reed, 1840; cover lithograph by Thayer's of Boston, of pirates on after deck of sailing vessel; 3 pages. Notes from Stuart M. Frank 2008: "The lyrics were anthologized in George W. Clark's 'Liberty Minstrel' (New York, 1846) and 'The Forecastle Songster' (New York, 1850), neither of which gives the tune; and two abolitionist songs - 'Liberty Glee' and 'March on! March on!' - are designated to be sung to the same melody. All three stanzas of 'The Pirate's Glee' appear anonymously in S.M. Frank, 'The Book of Pirate Songs' (1998, p. 100), reproduced verbatim as found in the 'Liberty Minstrel' and 'Forecastle' songsters."
